Authorities deem today’s bust a huge success.
Thirty-nine warrants were issued and several items were confiscated.
Some of those include, marijuana, cocaine, liquid methadone, numerous weapons and money.
The Southern Regional Drug and Violent Task Force, Mercer County Sheriff’s, Bluefield and Princeton City Police Departments, The West Virginia State Police and others all participated.
Those involved in today’s bust cite the importance of keeping drugs off the streets.
“I think its been very successful and I think its an indication of as many as we had today we’re going to have that many more forthcoming in the future,” said Mercer County assistant prosecutor Timm Bogges.
Timm Bogges also says residents in Mercer County should be very encouraged by today’s events and that there will be more arrests in the near future.
