If only he had equipped his bicycle with a light, a Westwood man probably wouldn’t be facing felony charges right now.

Cincinnati police stopped George Williams, 42, of Westood late Saturday night for riding his bicycle without a headlight on the sidewalk near his Harrison Avenue home.

After officers learned his name, they discovered Williams was wanted on a telecommunications-harassment charge. Then, during a search of Williams, police found two straight razors, a baggie containing crack cocaine and a piece of paper containing powder cocaine, a police report says.

Williams now faces two felony drug possession charges along with misdemeanor charges of possessing drug abuse instruments.

He also is charged with the telecommunications offense and two bicycle-related citations.
