A year-long undercover drug investigation by Denver police has netted 20-pounds of marijuana, more than $240,000 and a dozen arrests.

The investigation, which targeted an interstate ring that allegedly shipped about 1,000 pounds of marijuana through Denver monthly, was wrapped up on Thursday, Denver police said in a press release.

Detectives watched locations in west Denver and served search warrants simultaneously, police said.

The Denver Police Metro SWAT Team, narcotics detectives, patrol officers, West Metro Task Force members and ICE agents carried out the raids and arrests.

Beyond the large amounts of cash and marijuana, authorities seized one-half ounce of cocaine, five guns, two bullet-proof vests and 11 vehicles.

Twelve people were arrested on felony drug charges for possession of controlled substances and marijuana distribution, police said, and were also held for immigration and customs enforcement violations.
